Archimedes Museum is located towards the end of the main road of Olympia. The entrance is Free and It was created by Mr. Kotsanas a person with great skills and admiration for the Ancient Greek Technology. It is worth spending 30 min to 1 Hour there. It has also interactive games to play and learn many things about Ancient Greek technology in a fun and interesting way. |
What can you say about this magical beach of Kaiafas? Pine trees are growing in the sand, the water is crystal clear and it is never crowded. 25 km nearby Olympia you can find it easily because it is in a walking distance from the main road. In the other side of the beach it is the lake of Kaiafas and during summer time water ski events are taking place. During Winter people are visiting Kaiafas therapeutic Thermal Springs to heal mascular problems. |
The recently discovered waterfalls of Nemouta are gaining more and more popularity and i totally understand the reason. 25 km away from Olympia towards the mountains you will find this extraordinary place. Myths and Stories are known about this mystical and beautiful canyon that you can easily discover and admire. Many waterfalls has been developed there and all of them lead to Erymanthos River. HOW TO VISIT OLYMPIA
Many people are on a cruise and they arrive to Katakolon port but they are not aware of the options they have to visit Olympia. Find below the best options.
The train is the most affordable and easy option. It is a 45min ride and costs only 10euros. Another plus is that the train station in Olympia is just 1 block away from our office. The departure time is at 08:40 from Katakolon to Olympia and at 13:00 from Olympia to Katakolon. |
Renting a car is also an affordable option but you have to drive yourself to Olympia. The cost is approximately 50 euros and you can rent it at the exit of the port. |
Taxi is a good option if you are 4 people and share the cost which is aproximately 100 euros roundtrip to Olympia. You can find a taxi before you exit from the port. |
