Coming by car? Park briefly across from our office to pick up your VR glasses, then continue by car and park for free at the main parking lot of the Archaeological Site.

Not Included:
- Entrance tickets to the Olympia archaeological site and museum (Free entry is available for EU citizens under 25 and non-EU visitors under 18 with valid ID).
Price & Time
The Olympia VR Tour is €25 per headset. Your rental lasts for a full 3 hours, giving you plenty of time to explore the ancient ruins at your own pace! (For reference, the average visit takes about 1.5 hours for the archaeological site and 50 minutes for the museum).

- November to February: by reservation request only. Send us your date and we will tell you if we can welcome you.
Do I need a tour guide in Ancient Olympia?
No. Our VR glasses come with an audio guide in 8 languages, so you can explore at your own pace. It’s a fun alternative to a traditional tour guide, especially for families with kids: short stories, no long lectures, and you see the monuments as they were.
What are the most famous monuments in Ancient Olympia?
The Temple of Zeus, home of the Statue of Zeus (one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World), the Ancient Stadium where the first Olympic Games were held in 776 BC, and the Temple of Hera, where the Olympic flame is still lit today. Our tour shows 13 monuments rebuilt in 3D. Plan about 1.5 hours for the site and 50 minutes for the museum.
How do I get from Katakolon (Katakolo) to Olympia?
Olympia is about 35 km from Katakolon port. Take the train (about 45 minutes, €10 return), the bus from inside the port (about 35 minutes, €8 return) or a taxi (about 30 minutes). The train station and the bus stop are next to our shop, which makes the VR tour an easy independent shore excursion. Use our cruise planner to check your timing.
Arrivals & Delays
Arriving early from your shore excursion or road trip? Great! If your VR glasses are ready, you can start right away. Running late? We offer a 45-minute grace period for pickups. After that, we cannot guarantee you will have enough time to complete the virtual reality tour. Please return your headsets within the 3-hour rental window. A 15-minute grace period applies to returns, after which a late penalty may be charged.
Cancellations
You can easily cancel or reschedule your Olympia VR tour booking up to 24 hours in advance to receive a full refund.
